A Performance Rating that looks at Efficiency over Participation or Quantity.

These standings are taken mid season, meaning most competitors haven't met the minimum amount of 8 A rated shows yet, so they are in the process of building their PER show rating standings by end of season! In the meanwhile, it give them a good provisional temperature gage of where they at - in comparison to their fellow competitors in same division and hight!

Rider and horse combos competing in the jumper ring are ranked by their performance efficiency in the ring (time & faults) - there should be a final season ranking reflecting exactly that: performance efficiency! Amount of participation should not majorly or solely carry the end results or season's rankings. We are missing a huge component in the rankings as is.

We can and should all start applying the simple metric and better understand the performance efficiency of our seasons! We can join each other in celebration on social media and cheer each other" PER achievements on with virtual ribbons for the much deserved and currently missing recognition. Our biggest hope and goal is for official ranking entities to simply add an easy column to their rankings including performance efficiency next to the total points accumulated in a show season- in order to highlight and also celebrate performance efficiency in the ranking structure.
